I would like to take this opportunity to share my own experience with other people, who have some doubts about if; the dry needling treatment at Studio 23 really works. I am very delighted to tell you that the dry needling treatment definitely is working for me. I had a car accident last autumn. As a result of it my shoulders and neck were injured in the process. Since then I’ve been undergoing a various treatments. Unfortunately they only brought me short lifted pain relief. I consider myself lucky, for being advised by my friend, to seek Aine Crossan’s professional expertise about my condition. On my first session Aine had told me that the best treatment for me, according to my health condition, would be dry needling treatment. I hadn’t got a slightest idea, at the time, how this treatment works but somehow I felt right then and there that I was in the right place, talking to a very capable and professional therapist.
I am so glad I’ve trusted my instinct as I am on the road to recovery now. I am giving a big thank to Aine Crossan for it. From the beginning I listened to every word Aine said to me how I would feel after every session. Also she spends a lot of time guiding me through what to do at home after the treatment, to get faster recovery result. I was opened to all her advises as I was very tired living with the constant pain in my neck and shoulders. Also she didn’t make me to believe that the treatment is an easy, the pain free one. Actually the other way round, she told me that I would be in a lot of pain at the beginning. I’ve gone through four dry needling sessions. The first one was the painful one. After it I was very tired, thirsty, wasn’t able to get enough of fluids. I’d developed cravings for everything sweet, and believe me I am not a sweet tooth person. Aine assured me that my symptoms are being normal, that I’ve got a lot of toxins built up in my body. Currently we’ve moved to the exercise part of the treatment. I wouldn’t consider them being an easy type but somehow I am looking forward to my visits to the Studio 23, as I’ve seen the result of the Aine’s hard work.
"I cannot recommend Aine and Studio 23 enough. I have been going to Aine for personal training sessions for over a year now and there is no comparison between this year and last year in terms of my flexibility, strength and overall fitness. Aine works you hard and you get a lot from your hour - but her style is hard work with good humour thrown in and the hard work is actually (dare I say it) enjoyable! I have tried all sorts of other fitness plans - from gyms to circuit training to various classes. I always lost interest in these after a few weeks so being with Aine one year on is a real testament to how great training with her really is."
"Studio 23 (and ÁINE) becomes a part of your routine so quickly that before you know it, if you do miss a session in the week, it will feel out of kilter.Áine offers that rare combination of understanding (that we lead busy , sometimes convenience food dotted lives) and motivation (I dare you to feel as though you couldn't take on the world after a session with her!) in a comfortable, private, city centre studio at a competitive price."
"While I started Pregnancy Pilates as a way to have some 'me time' - I quickly began to rely on the weekly classes to boost me both physically and mentally, particularly in my 3rd trimester. Aine's upbeat attitude and enthusiastic personality really helped me develop a positive mindset for labour. This class is a definite must & was one of the best things I did during my pregnancy".
Aine is a fantastic trainer with a wealth of experience in her field. During a year of my personal training sesions with Aine I improved my posture, strentghtened my muscles and gained a completely new awareness of my body. This also increased my levels of confidence and gave inspiration to improve in the other areas of my life. On a personal level Aine is very positive and motivating, every training with her leaves you energized and inspired. I can definitely recommend Studio 23 to anyone who is looking for challenging training with immediate results. I have been attending Studio23 for a treatment for a number of years. Every time I call they are very polite and helpful. Many times I have been in great pain and discomfort when I went there and they always sorted out my injuries using a combination of techniques - I leave the place feeling like a new person. They care about your well being and take a holistic approach to each treatment. I am very happy to being one of their customers.
I have fibromyalgia and was in bad shape when I first came to Aine. I had difficulty walking and breathing and was experiencing severe back pain and sciatica pain in my left leg. I was also very overweight. Aine customised a rehabilitation program for me that combined trigger point massage therapy, graded exercise and nutrition. She also took the time to learn more about fibromyalgia and was very supportive and understanding of the condition. She kept me on the straight and narrow with my diet and although I moaned about it a lot at the time I am now 3 stone lighter. Fibromyalgia is a difficult and frustrating condition. My progress was slow but Aine was very patient and always motivational. I feel that she played a pivotal role in my recovery and on the days where I had no enthusiasm (which were many!) thankfully she had enough for both of us. Thanks to her professional skill and personable approach my health has improved enough for me to go back to college and return to part-time work. I've even managed to become a keen salsa dancer. Not bad for someone who could barely walk up the stairs a year and a half ago.
I am 27 years old. I had a back accident in 2002, and crushed 2 of my lower vertebrae. I have been perfectly mobile since, but suffer from acute back pain from time to time. The cause of this is usually working late for a number of weeks in a row, sitting in front of my computer. This only happens 2 or 3 times a year, when we are moving towards deadlines. Also long drives can bring on the pain. I have been attending a Chiropractor for about 2 years now, and this helped, but since I started the pilates classes with Tracey, I feel it stretches and loosens the muscles in spasm, and strengthens my core which can keep me going longer. I do notice if I miss a class, as I feel stiffer and need to stretch more.
Its worth saying too, about half the class are men! I figured not many men attended until I started. Many are there for similar reasons, and people of different strength/flexibility can modify their position to suit themselves.
