Pregnancy Yoga

Yoga is an ancient science and philosophy that works on the body and the mind as a whole. Working on the internal and external, each class is well balanced incorporating asana (physical posture), breathwork and relaxation. The gentle but effective asana improves posture, flexibilty and stamina in the body, helping to relieve and prevent the various discomforts of pregnancy (fluid retention, swollen joints, backache, etc) and along with the essential pelvic floor work, allows for an easier and more enjoyable pregnancy and labour. The breathwork and relaxation also play a vital role in helping to improve breathing and relieve stress by calming and soothing the nervous system.
